About Jana Frieler
Jana Frieler has spent the last 27 years in education. 15 of those years she has served as a high school administrator. She has assumed many leadership roles in her state organization, CASE (CASSP Department) and at the national level. Jana served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Secondary School Principals for 6 years, ultimately being elected president of the organization. Jana was also selected a one of 23 people from across the country to write the accomplished principal standards for the National Board of Professional Teaching.
Jana has published several education articles and was one of the authors of the NBPTS Accomplished Principal Standards Book. She continued her work with this company as a member of the Working Content Advisory Committee, writing the certification process for becoming an Accomplished Principal. She has also helped train raters and has scored many entries as well. This experience has given her a great view of accomplished principal practice across the nation. Jana also served as a Director of Human Resources and is a licensed PHR Director. In addition, Jana has worked in the area of leadership coaching and is currently testing for her ACC license with ICF. Jana served as the Director of Professional Learning for the Cherry Creek School District. Her job was to provide professional learning opportunities for various groups within the district.
Jana has traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad, presenting at conferences. Her areas of emphasis are: Implementing common core state standards, FRISK Documentation, how to have hard conversations, college and career readiness, outcomes based coaching in schools, school improvement and assessments. Jana has worked extensively with the Educator Effectiveness Implementation in Colorado also.
